The University of Missouri, School of Medicine seeks a dynamic leader as the associate dean for its clinical campus in Springfield, Missouri. This position reports to the Dean of the School of Medicine through the Senior Associate Dean for Education on the Columbia, Missouri campus. The associate dean for the Springfield campus serves as a team member with the associate deans for educational improvement, student programs, and rural programs and the director of the simulation centers, director of evaluation and director of continuing medical education.
The School of Medicine admits between 112 and 128 students each year who complete the pre-clinical curriculum in Columbia. Beginning in the third year of the curriculum, up to 32 students move to the Springfield campus for their core clerkships, selectives and electives.
Minimum Qualifications: MD or DO
Preferred Qualifications: At least three years of leadership experience in medical education. Must qualify for clinical and hospital privileges at one or both major hospitals or the area FQHC and an academic appointment in the appropriate School of Medicine department. Associate deans are expected to generate a portion of their salary through clinical practice.
