Assistant Director of Graduate Admission

The Heller School is a nationally-recognized research and educational institution shaped by the social justice roots it shares with Brandeis University.  The 2020 U.S. News & World Report rankings for graduate schools of public affairs lists the Heller School #7 in social policy.  Heller’s academic scope includes six graduate programs in domestic and international policy with a common focus on advancing careers committed to social change.

The Assistant Director manages the recruitment, admissions and yield process for the PhD in Social Policy and the Master of Science in Global Health Policy and Management including planning and presenting at on-campus and virtual events.  The Assistant Director serves as a member of the office's operations team including the management of some aspects of the Slate CRM; hires, trains and manages graduate student assistants; manages the admissions website; and represents the Heller School at recruiting events across the U.S.

Relevant experience in undergraduate or graduate admissions, excellent project management and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize work in a busy office are required.  Outstanding interpersonal skills, the ability to work well with faculty and staff, and a strong customer service orientation are required.  Experience supervising students and/or volunteers is preferred.  Must be able to travel for up to one week at a time.  A bachelor's degree and at least three years of experience are required.
