The College of Education has over 3,000 undergraduate and graduate students and was recently recognized as having one of the best online graduate programs in the country. The department of Educational Services and Leadership is one of four departments within the College of Education. The department of Educational Services and Leadership houses graduate programs in educational leadership (CPED member), school psychology (NASP approved), counseling in educational settings (CACREP approved), higher education, and school administration and a post-baccalaureate program in school nursing. The College of Education is fully accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and approved by the New Jersey Department of Education.

The Department of Educational Services and Leadership is accepting applications for a time temporary position in our MA School Administration program beginning September 1, 2019. We are especially interested in candidates whose work explicitly addresses issues of equity, access, and social justice. The department is seeking a creative and innovative faculty member to play an integral role in our Master s level program in School Administration, teaching 3 courses per semester, online. This position requires an earned doctoral degree in Educational Leadership or related area.

Qualifications: This position requires an earned doctoral degree and demonstrated teaching excellence in school administration. Specifically, the department is looking for a faculty member who is dedicated to increasing awareness, sensitivity, and knowledge of practices that will result in equitable educational opportunities for diverse learners.

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

Required:
  • Earned doctoral degree from an accredited institution of Educational Leadership or a field directly or closely related
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the graduate level
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive andragogy and social justice in education
  • Demonstrated commitment to working in an environment devoted to collaboration, collegiality, scholarly inquiry and student learning
  • A teaching/learning philosophy aligned with the mission of the College of Education
  • NJ Certification for Chief School Administrator or Principal
  • Extensive administrative experience in PK-12 settings

Preferred:
  • Experience with Masters level higher education programs
