CRIMINAL JUSTICE INSTRUCTOR
Jefferson Community College, Watertown, NY, part of the State University of New York (SUNY) System, is conducting a search for a full-time, tenure-track Criminal Justice instructor to begin August, 2019. Responsibilities include teaching 15 contact hours per semester which may include evening, weekend, hybrid, and/or on-line classes, academic advising, curriculum development, and participation in College committees.
Required: Master's degree in Criminal Justice or related field; professional work experience in criminal justice or related field.
Preferred: College-level teaching and collaborative curriculum development experience; demonstrated depth of knowledge or experience in homeland security and/or another relevant specialization; firearms certification; ability to apply a variety of teaching methods including online and hybrid formats; familiarity with instructional technology; strong written and oral communication skills; experience working with a diverse population; an understanding of community college philosophy.
