The Department of Accounting, Finance, and Economics at California State University, Dominguez Hills invites applications for a Tenure-track position at the rank of Academic Year Assistant Professor in Economics with emphasis in International Trade/Finance with the appointment starting in Fall 2019.

The Department of Accounting, Finance & Economics has 17 full-time faculty (13 tenure-track). The department offers undergraduate concentrations in accounting, finance, and international business and a certificate in accounting. The department is a major contributor to the MBA Online program.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in Economics or International Business at time of employment and be qualified as Scholarly Academic (SA) in teaching area based on 2013 AACSB standards, by time of employment.

A commitment to teaching excellence and publishing research in quality journals is required.

Experience in teaching undergraduates from diverse age, socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds.

Preferred /Desired Qualifications

A track record of teaching excellence and publication in quality journals is preferred.

Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information.
