UC is one of the largest employers in the Cincinnati region, employing over 15,000 full time and part time faculty, staff and student workers. The College of Medicine, Department of Neurology is recruiting for a full-time (100% FTE) Financial Administrator (Accounts Payable).

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Process invoices for NCC infrastructure grant and clinical trials utilizing UC systems (internal) and WebDCU (external), working with NCC, Purchasing, and Accounts Payables policies and procedures as they apply to StrokeNet. Create and monitor the status of Purchase Order requisitions.
  • Assist NCC Contracts personnel in the execution of Master Trial Agreements by registering vendor numbers in SAP.
  • Assist in the coordination and monitoring of fiscal administrative duties using SAP/BW, Concur, ESM and Excel; including, but not limited to trial payments and FedEx reporting.
  • Maintain trial related payment files and PCard documentation in the Share drive. May process travel requests and routine PCRs.
  • Administer and manage all payment related correspondence via the strokenettrialpymts generic mailbox. Manage communications between vendors and AP regarding W9 and EFT collection. Suggest system and/or process modifications and improvements, where applicable.
  • Provide input into the monitoring and financial status of unit programs and other budget allocations using SAP and Business Warehouse.
  • Review and follow policies to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Prepare reports on request. Respond to inquiries internally and externally.
  • Attend department meetings as time permits.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need.


Skills Needed:
  • Intermediate knowledge of accounting area, including standard accounting principles, terminology, theories and practices; duties of moderate to high complexity and require a wide range of problem solving.
  • Possess working knowledge of SAP Financials and Business Warehouse reporting, ESM Contracts Management, Concur, Excel.
  • Maintain excellent communication skills with co-workers.
  • Ability to establish and maintain communication with other RCCs and Satellites nationwide regarding StrokeNet payment issues.
  • Ability to prioritize work, work independently without daily direct supervision, and manage a variety of projects simultaneously. Must have good time-management skills.
  • Ability to recognize the need for change; respond with flexibility to changing program demands; propose solutions; and work with coworkers to implement solutions.
  • Ability to demonstrate dependability, reliability, and excellent attendance record.
  • Ability to work with the NCC leadership to accomplish the necessary NCC tasks, in addition to sharing the work of achieving short- and long-term goals, as requested.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree with two (2) years ofexperience; -OR- Associate degree with four (4) years of experience; -OR- six (6) years of experience. Degree must be in accounting or related field with experience in accounting. Incumbent must possess the business/fiscal experience to be fully proficient in performing most or all work assignments.

This position will be a professional position paid at an hourly rate.
