THE POSITION
The College of Nursing at the University of Cincinnati is seeking to fill a tenured faculty position to contribute to the research and education mission of the college. We are searching for a researcher with a funded program of research to serve as the Director of the PhD in Nursing Program.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
As the Director of the PhD in Nursing Program, the tenured faculty member will have a responsibility in leading the PhD in Nursing Program. This leadership will include mentoring student and faculty, recruiting diverse program applicants, overseeing the program curriculum, evaluating program outcomes, seeking external funding for programmatic enhancement and supporting a diverse student population, and fostering interprofessional research between students and researchers within the university and colleagues at regional Academic Medical Centers.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead in research, education, and service
• Lead the PhD in Nursing Program
• Seek external funding for programmatic enhancement and to support a diverse student population
• Evaluate program curriculum and outcomes
• Assign academic advisors to PhD students
• Establish internal and external partnerships to further the mission of the program
• Represent the program with the Graduate School and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing

QUALIFICATIONS
An established program of research in areas of interest to the discipline of nursing and evidence of sustained, substantial external funding with an earned research doctorate in nursing and teaching experience in higher education at the graduate level. Must be eligible for rank of Associate Professor or Professor. Prior leadership experience preferred, but also interested in a highly motivated and successful junior faculty member who is ready for his/her first leadership experience in a well-established collaborative team.

HIRING SALARY/SALARY RANGE
Negotiable, competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience for serving as Director, PhD in Nursing Program.
