POSITION DESCRIPTION
The College of Nursing at the University of Cincinnati is seeking to fill a tenured or tenure track faculty position to contribute to the research mission of the college. Seeking researchers with pre-doctoral or post-doctoral funding or an established program of research with a focus on aging to serve as the Director of the Center for Aging with Dignity. On a full-time basis, the tenured or tenure track member's primary responsibility is research, which includes a consistent pattern of obtaining external funding for research and publications in peer-reviewed publications. Tenured or tenure track faculty members may also contribute to the pedagogical and service missions of the university, expectations for which may be described in their letters of appointment and in their unit reappointment and promotion criteria.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Redesign, redevelop and reinvigorate the College of Nursing Center for Aging with Dignity.
  • Lead the establishment of strategic map for the Center that reflects the tripartite mission of research, education, and service.
  • Fundraise and seek means of external funding.
  • Lead and manage the Center for Aging with Dignity activities.
  • Direct the day-day-activities of the Center.
  • Establish internal and external partnerships to further the mission of the Center.
  • Represent the Center to external and internal constituents.


QUALIFICATIONS
  • An established program of research in areas of interest to the discipline of nursing and evidence of sustained, substantial external funding with an earned research doctorate (nursing preferred) with teaching experience in higher education at the graduate level.
  • Must be eligible for rank of Associate Professor or Professor. Prior Leadership experience preferred. PhD preferred.

HIRING SALARY/SALARY RANGE
Negotiable, competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience with
administrative stipend for serving as Director, Center for Aging with Dignity.
