Title: Senior Academic Evaluator

Essential Function

Under general supervision from the Director of the Catalyst Advising Team, this position will review, analyze, assess and process information for the advising and student success activities of the University of Cincinnati. The ideal candidate will utilize a blend of advising knowledge, problem-solving, communication and technical skills to help University of Cincinnati students navigate and achieve the new "Bearcat Promise" student success initiative.

The department plans to hire up to two candidates for two separate positions with this job posting.

Characteristic Duties

• Design, create, and maintain academic planner templates for assigned colleges.
• Act as subject matter expert for academic planner training.
• Manage and plan daily operational activities (i.e., maintain academic planner templates, monitor degree program requirements; process degree audits, encode curriculum changes, etc.).
• Interpret and monitor degree requirements, e-curriculum program and course data, and respond to student and adviser inquiries about academic planner output.
• Interpret e-curriculum major map updates, and respond with necessary changes to academic planner templates.
• Act as liaison with campus departments and college, students, admissions, registration, advisers, faculty and staff.
• Create, encode and maintain degree programs.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with three (3) years experience; -OR- Associate's degree with five (5) years experience; -OR- seven (7) years experience. Experience must be in advising, registration, educational technology, student services or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with educational technologies, academic planner tools and Peoplesoft Campus Solutions is preferred.
