The Department of Accounting, Finance, and Economics; College of Business Administration and Public Policy (CBAPP) at California State University Dominguez Hills invites applications for a Tenure-track position at the rank of Academic Year Assistant or Associate Professor with the appointment starting in Fall 2019.

The Department of Accounting, Finance & Economics
The Department of Accounting, Finance & Economics has 17 full-time faculty (13 are tenure-track). The department offers undergraduate concentrations in accounting, finance, and international business and a certificate in accounting. The department is a major contributor to the MBA Online program. The College of Business Administration and Public Policy
The College of Business Administration and Public Policy consists of three business departments (accounting, finance & economics; information and operations systems; and management and marketing), the department of public policy and the applied studies program. The College houses 57.8FTEF(fulltimeequivalentfaculty), 60 equivalent faculty counting part timers, 2100 undergraduate and 116 graduate students. The business major awards the largest number of bachelor degrees on campus. The business program is the second largest program in the university including both undergraduate and graduate degrees. The College offers two (online and on ground) graduate degrees, an MBA and an MPA. These two degrees have on-line options with complete concentration and course offerings. The MBA Online program was cited in the Wall Street Journal and is listed as a top-ten best buy by Geteducated.com. The public administration program is accredited by NASPAA. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants for Assistant Professor are required to have a completed Ph. D. in finance from an AACSB accredited university or be in the final stages of completing their dissertation from an AACSB accredited university at the time of employment with completion scheduled by the start of Fall 2019 semester.
Applicants for Associate Professor are required to have a completed Ph. D. in finance from an AACSB accredited university with a strong publication record as well as excellent teaching evaluations.
A commitment to teaching excellence and publishing research in quality journals is required.
Experience in teaching undergraduates from diverse age, socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds.
Preferred /Desired Qualifications
The ideal candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in finance from an AACSB accredited university or be at the ABD status with substantial progress towards PhD dissertation with completion scheduled by the start of Fall 2019 semester.
The candidate will need to be academically qualified based on the current AACSB standards, by time of employment.

Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.
