Job Description
The Stewardship Specialist plans and coordinates a variety of activities and events within the Office of Stewardship and Donor Relations. Maintains the scholarship stewardship database to ensure timely and accurate awarding of Foundation scholarships.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
One year of relevant full-time experience in Higher Education, non-profit organization or Foundation.
Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
Experience operating a personal computer and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends for special projects or events.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Accounting or closely related field.
Experience and demonstrated competence with Raiser's Edge, Access, and Banner software systems.
Experience working with donors, producing reports and communications for their review.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of the principles and practices within philanthropy and/or non-profit organizations.
Knowledge of or ability to learn Raiser's Edge, Access, and Banner software systems.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision.
Ability to accurately create, compose, and edit business correspondence and reports.
Ability to take initiative to plan, organize, coordinate and perform work in various situations when numerous and diverse demands are involved.
Ability to collect, verify, and document financial transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to interpret financial data related to fund tracking and grant reporting.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with internal and external constituents in an interactive, culturally diverse, and collaborative environment.
Ability to think critically and make clear, well-reasoned and timely decisions.
Ability to communicate with tact, diplomacy, and remain calm and poised under pressure.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.

Salary Range
$16.76 - $20.11 Hourly

Job Duties

Essential Job Duties
•Plans and coordinates activities and events related to stewardship efforts.
•Assists the Assistant Director, Stewardship in the execution of the annual President's Scholarship Luncheon. Collaborates with event partners to identify speakers, program content, and event logistics. Ensures that donor requests and needs are met.
•Produces the annual Heath-of-the-Fund reports. Gathers and presents annual investment activity, fund allocations, and other financial information in a visually appealing, easy-to-understand report.
•Produces scholarship stewardship packets, which includes award details and scholarship recipient correspondence.
•Assists in the production of the annual impact reports submitted by faculty to include details on how the donors' endowed fund allocations were utilized the previous year.
•Serves as the primary owner of the scholarship stewardship database for the Foundation. Verifies accuracy of data to optimize integration with Banner and the Financial Aid & Scholarships Office. Documents all gift agreements and ensures that Foundation scholarships are applied in accordance to the agreements.
•Serves as a liaison with the Foundation's Finance Department.
•Collects stewardship data for analysis and analyzes financial reports.
