Advertised Salary:
Minimum $55,000 ANNUAL (12 months)
Depending on Qualifications

Degree and area of specialization:
B.S. required in Game Development, Graphic Design, or related field

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
* A minimum of five years experience with game art direction or game UI/UX design and implementation
* A minimum of 5 shipped games with credits in art direction or UI/UX design
Creation of game art styles
* Development of visual style guidelines/art bibles to guide production teams through implementation of specific art styles
* Managing of visual asset design across multiple, large scale projects
2D and 3D GUI development for pc and mobile games

Client relations experience in the following:
* Product pitch development and presentation
* Guiding game asset teams through the specifics of design
* Developing branding, logos, and other supporting game marketing materials
* User Interface Design
* User Experience Design

Software and Technologies requirements:
* Adobe XD
* Adobe Illustrator
* Adobe InDesign
* Adobe Photoshop
* HTML/SCSS
* jQuery/Javascript
* Unity3D game engine
* Wordpress

Position Summary:
The Gear Learning group located in the Wisconsin Center for Education Research manages multiple sources of funding to support the research and development for new and existing game-based learning applications. Our vision is to serve the public as a leading center for games for impact by developing games with broad audiences, demonstrated impact and supported scale. We conduct research and development in games for impact that spans discovery to delivery, producing both technology products and human capital.

The Graphic, Web, and Interface User Designer will develop interface designs for educational tools and will work on other web design projects such as interactive forums and online schedules.
