The Institute of Crime Science (ICS) is an institute within the University of Cincinnati's School of Criminal Justice, located in the College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services. The ICS is currently recruiting for a Director of Strategic Operations to assist ICS full-time staff in business development (including cost analysis and tiered pricing development), bringing new ideas to the criminal justice market, research, process and program evaluations, training (risk assessments, evidence-based practices, group facilitation-including presentations to law enforcement and public health professionals, opioid response and gun violence reduction) and operational strategic planning and coaching for various law enforcement and public health agencies that ICS consults with. Specifically, the Director of Strategic Operations will work with the different staff members within ICS to ensure the successful completion of all current projects and coordinate all proposal development and strategic direction for new ICS business opportunities.

Please note that this position will require some national, regional and local travel, approximately 1-2 weeks per month.

Minimum Qualifications :

Master's degree with five (5) year's experience; -OR- Bachelor's degree with seven (7) year's experience; -OR- Associate's degree with nine (9) year'sexperience; -OR- eleven year's experience. Experience must be related to areas of responsibilities.

Preferred qualifications :

• Master's Degree (or higher) degree from an accredited institution of higher learning in business administration, law or criminal justice.
• Demonstrated experience in providing strategic direction, business development and management (including proposal development; scope of work and deliverable identification), and back office functions in the private sector.
• Background in cyber security
• Business analytics and raising equity from different sources outside a University setting.
