Part-Time Service Learning Coordinator

Provides support to the Director of Service Learning. Assists the Director in providing a link between community Service Learning partners, college faculty and students. This includes organizing student interaction with community partners; maintaining contact with partners; visiting college classes to communicate opportunities to students; working with faculty to identify appropriate service learning experiences for their students; providing information to and receiving feedback from Service Learners, partners and faculty; collecting data relevant to understanding the breadth and depth of Elmhurst College Service Learning; fielding inquiries from student, faculty and community partners; administrative tasks; other duties as assigned.

Salary Grade
Essential Functions
1. Provide assistance with all Service Learning related activities including maintaining relationships with community partners, faculty and students.
2. Maintain records about Service Learning interaction with community partners, student involvement and course integration.
3. Maintain records necessary for evaluation and assessment of Service Learning.
4. Provide and manage logistical support for Service Learning program, including managing student interaction with various partners.
5. Promote Service Learning opportunities to students and faculty.
6. Assist in the development of external community partners.
7. Assist in enhancing Service Learning presence on Elmhurst College web pages.
8. Manage and maintain content of Elmhurst College Service Learning web page.
9. Coordinate and provide support for budgets related to Service Learning.
10. Assist with all other Service Learning related events on and off campus where needed.
11. Occasionally assist with correspondence related to Experiential Learning.
12. Demonstrate a strong commitment to continuous improvement of Service learning Program.
13. Support mission, vision and values of College and of Service Learning program.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science.
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with web applications.
3. Strong interpersonal skills.
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
5. Exceptional attention to detail.
6. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a contributing team member.
7. Understanding of higher education, particularly private liberal arts college.
8. Must be flexible and be able to multi-task.
9. Ability to work effectively with faculty, administrators, staff, students and outside constituents at all levels.
10. Must be dedicated to maintaining and improving the image of the college and the Service Learning Program.

Preferred Qualifications
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Employee is subject to indoor work, protected from weather conditions. Work is sedentary in nature and involves exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently/constantly in order to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move object. May require some local travel to visit service learning sites.

Work Hours
15 hours per week. 10 months (42 weeks) per year. Hours are flexible.
