ADJUNCT PROFESSORS OF RESEARCH METHODS



Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Department of Education Specialties at St. John's University is seeking applications for Online Adjunct Professors of Research Methods who can teach within the PhD in Literacy Program. Responsibilities include teaching fully online doctoral courses in research including quantitative, qualitative, and/or mixed methods. The five course strand consists of the following courses: Intro to Stats /Literacy Research; Stats II/Data Analysis (Applied); Stats III/Adv. Data Analysis, Qualitative Research; or Mixed Methods Research/Design. The position requires the candidate to actively participate in online course development and pedagogical delivery meeting Quality Assurance Standards.

Qualifications

The positions require an earned doctorate in a related field (before start date) with background and experience online in university settings. Active researchers and practitioners are preferred. Familiarity with and experience using Blackboard is required. There are no residency requirements for these positions.

Starting Dates for Positions -September 5, 2018 (fall term) and subsequent semesters
