The Division of Computer Science, Mathematics and Science is seeking applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor of Computer Science, supporting the B.S. degree program in Cyber and Information Security, commencing January 15, 2019.

The Division of Computer Science, Mathematics and Science offers undergraduate degrees in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Networking Systems, and Healthcare Informatics, as well as a master's degree in Data Mining and Predictive Analytics. Responsibilities

This is a teaching-intensive position (9-12 credit hours per semester) with opportunities for research reductions. We place primary emphasis on the candidate's commitment to teaching and student engagement, together with ongoing research productivity. Division faculty are expected to participate in academic advisement, student mentoring, academic assessment, and other activities as required by the Chair and/or Dean.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in computer science with cyber security focus, or a D.P.S. in cyber security/forensics. At the Assistant Professor level, the ideal candidate should possess university teaching experience, industry field experience, as well as a record of research and scholarly publications. At the Associate Professor level, extensive teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels, along with a dynamic research agenda and strong publication record are expected. We are interested in candidates experienced in multiple areas of cyber security and digital forensics, including digital warfare, protection of digital infrastructure, data risk management, intrusion detection and mitigation, security analytics, social media investigations, and healthcare information security.

Candidates should be familiar with technology-supported learning pedagogy and be able to integrate technology into teaching.
