Assistant Director of Compliance - Athletics

Assistant Director of Compliance - Athletics

Responsibilities:

  • Act as one of the Office of Athletics' liaisons to the NCAA and the Big East Conference in regards to association and conference rules interpretation and enforcement.
  • Act as one of the Office of Athletics' liaisons to University officials related to rules compliance for Accounts Payable, Bursar, Student Financial Services, and Residence Life.
  • Assist the Director in maintaining a comprehensive compliance program for all financial aid activities for each sport program including squad lists, outside aid, summer aid, winter aid, athletic scholarship renewals, increases, decreases, non-renewals and voluntary cancellations of aid.
  • Assist the Director in facilitating all scholarship recommendations for processing of Financial Aid Award letters, Financial Aid Agreements and National Letters of Intent (NLIs).
  • Assist the Director in maintaining a comprehensive account of all Student-Athlete Opportunity Fund (SAOF) expenses.
  • Assist the Director with all initial and continuing eligibility certification for student-athletes.
  • Assist the Director with educational workshops for all coaches, student-athletes, University officials and alumni.
  • Assist the Director in maintaining a comprehensive monitoring program of all compliance related activities.


Qualifications:

  • BA or BS required, Graduate Degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of NCAA Compliance, Coaching and/or Athletic Administration
  • Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
  • Working knowledge if NCAA CAI
  • Working knowledge of Excel and Word
