Mount Holyoke College (“College”) seeks a seasoned, collaborative, and ambitious leader to serve as its next Vice President for Enrollment Management (“VPEM”). The VPEM will oversee, lead, and execute the College’s existing and future efforts in admissions and financial aid. Reporting directly to President Sonya Stephens and serving on her senior leadership team, the VPEM will be a strategic, data driven, and savvy leader with deep experience in the field, commitment for diversity and internationalization, and passion for women’s education with an understanding of gender inclusion. With the strong support of the College’s senior leadership and Board of Trustees, the next VPEM will serve as a catalyst to leverage the College’s existing relationships and resources to develop strategies, design policies, support access, and curate a campus community that honors the College’s storied past, and celebrates their bold future.

Established in 1837, Mount Holyoke is among the world’s longest-standing institutions of higher education for women and the eldest of the Seven Sisters Colleges, renowned for educating women leaders, from medical pioneers to Pulitzer Prize-winning playwrights. The College is a selective, diverse, non-denominational, residential liberal arts college, which also offers several coeducational graduate programs. Twenty-nine percent of Mount Holyoke’s students are international citizens, and 27 percent of domestic students identify as African American, Asian American, Latinx, Native American, or Multiracial.

With a nine-to-one student-faculty ratio, the College has fostered a cohesive community focused on academic excellence. Enhancing the learning experience and promoting the success of all its students in a global society is a key objective of the College’s diversity initiative. To that end, Mount Holyoke’s association with the Connecticut River Valley’s Five College Consortium offers a unique opportunity for students to take advantage of course offerings across all five campuses, including Amherst College, Smith College, Hampshire College, and the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Mount Holyoke also benefits from its membership to the Consortium on Financing Higher Education (COFHE) and the Posse Foundation, annually enrolling a posse from Miami.

Working in partnership with administrative leaders, faculty, staff, students, alumnae, and community partners, the VPEM will provide leadership and support on admissions, financial aid, and retention efforts across campus. The successful candidate will proactively advance Mount Holyoke’s aim of building and maintaining a campus environment that is academically curious, globally engaged, inclusive, and diverse. The VPEM will be a data driven, creative leader with the ability to set priorities and steward financial aid strategically. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a record of accomplishment in growing application pools, guiding strategic planning processes, leading high functioning teams, mentoring emerging leaders in the field, promoting a culture of data driven decision making, collaborating across campus with senior leaders and faculty, and fostering an inclusive, culturally competent community.
