The Division of Cardiovascular Health and Disease at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and UC Heart, Lung and Vascular Institute seeks cardiologists with training in Advanced CHF, Transplant and Mechanical Assist Devices. Applicants must be ABIM Board eligible or board certified in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology. The Heart, Lung and Vascular Institute at UC Health offers a full spectrum of cardiovascular services (adult and pediatric) including surgery, cardiology, electrophysiology, congenital heart care, structure heart disease and well-funded in basic/translation clinical research. Our heart failure services include heart transplant/ventricular assist device, EMCO and critical care; our program is growing and additional physician support is needed. We are the only heart transplant program for the in the Greater Cincinnati region - consisting of a population greater than 3 million people. Additional goals include assisting with the development of a heart-failure/transplant teaching rotation for cardiology fellows and working closely with our transplant surgeons in the further development of these programs.

Qualifications : Board certification in Internal Medicine, board eligibility or certification in Cardiovascular Diseases, board eligibility or certification in advanced heart failure & cardiac transplantation, ability to obtain an unrestricted Ohio State Medical License and DEA license. Cardiology faculty at UCMC are expected to contribute to ambulatory and hospital-based care, maintain active engagement in our education and training missions and participate in quality improvement, safety and research projects.
