Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The Manager of User Services is part of the Advancement Services Department that provides technical and fundraising support relating to the alumni development information software for the University System of Maryland. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Advancement Services, the Manager of User Services is responsible for designing curriculum, developing training materials, and conducting training on Advance for all levels of users. He/she will create and manage all user access, working closely with each Institution's representatives to ensure all necessary training has been completed successfully before access is granted. In addition, the manager will create and maintain technical documentation, conduct testing on changes to Advance, and incorporate changes into training and documentation. The manager will respond to requests from USM institutions and resolve issues related to duplicate records.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education (include licenses, certifications, etc.):
Bachelor's degree required.

Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of experience with training end users on advanced application systems.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Detailed-oriented trainer with the ability to comprehend and communicate clearly.
Strong presentation skills.
Fluency with desktop applications such as Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
Troubleshooting abilities in order to diagnose and correct application problems.
Must be a team player as well as able to work independently.

Preferences:

Trainer certification or experience preferred.
Help-desk/Call Center experience preferred.
