Job Summary
The Administrative Assistant provides a wide range of administrative support for the Skidmore Fund program, a fundraising effort that raises $7+ million annually. This staff member supports a Senior Assistant Director, Assistant Director, Executive Director of the Skidmore College Saratoga Classic Horse Show (SCHS)/Director of Special Projects, and the Horse Show Marketing Director, with class fundraising campaigns, travel planning/arrangements, correspondence, reports, data entry, program and volunteer management. In addition, the Administrative Assistant supports several fundraising programs including the Skidmore College Saratoga Classic Horse Show, young alumni fundraising, Senior Gift campaign, and other special initiatives within the Skidmore Fund.

Minimum Qualifications
3-5 years of secretarial, book keeping, and word processing experience. High School diploma/College or Business degree.

Preferred Qualifications
Excellent proofreading and grammar skills; high proficiency in technology including Microsoft applications, Advance database, Adobe Photoshop and desktop publishing; excellent interpersonal skills; pleasant and professional style with people and polished telephone skills; past experience supporting a budget or book keeping; ability to work in busy office environment and team setting; proven ability to work independently with little instruction; strong project management skills; confidentiality; flexibility; initiative.
