Summary of Job Duties
The successful candidate will: 1) coordinate and manage sensory research projects, 2) supervise trained panelists, hourly employees, and students in the implementation of sensory evaluation projects, 3) provide logistical support, and 4) assist in teaching (lab session), workshops, and outreach activities. Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Bachelor degree in Food Science, Culinary Science, Consumer Behavior, Psychology, Marketing, or related fields with three years of relevant professional experience, or a Master s degree in Food Science, Culinary Science, Consumer Behavior, Psychology, Marketing or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with sensory data collection software (e.g., Compusense, SIMS , or FIZZ , etc.) and statistical analysis software are preferred. Demonstrated experience with descriptive sensory analysis as a panel leader is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
The successful candidate will be expected to be highly motivated and to have demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in standard sensory evaluation methods (especially descriptive analysis), sensory data collection software, statistical analysis, excellent oral and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate must have the ability to maintain a good teamwork and an interpersonal skill. In addition, the candidate must be well-organized, be able to work independently.
