Seeking an enthusiastic co-monitor for the School of Art Sculpture studio. The desirable candidate will have a positive attitude, the ability to work both collaboratively and independently, prioritize tasks, and accept supervision and guidance. This is a work-study position for 10 hours per week, with a flexible schedule.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor all activity in the studio and answer student questions.
• Oversee student clean-up habits while emphasizing safety and best practices.
• Perform daily & weekly clean-up and organizational tasks.
• Assist with events and other related sculpture projects per faculty discretion.
• Notify faculty of any ongoing problems with equipment, facilities, lighting, and/or student concerns.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 16 years of age.
• Enrolled at a post-secondary institution or a secondary school
• Enrolled at least part-time (one or more credit hours if at a post-secondary institution), with the exception of summer term, or will be a registered student during the next academic term;

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with silkscreen, intaglio, lithography, and/or relief processes.Please indicate any sculpture or building experience you have previously completed. Priority will be given to students with shop and/or sculpture experience.
• Experience working with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
