Responsibilities:
The Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences at Delta State University invites applicants for Instructor or Open Rank Professor and chair of the Department beginning August 2018, however the start date is negotiable. This is a 12-month position.

Provide administrative oversight and leadership of the unit including recruitment, supervision, and evaluation of faculty and support staff; management of department budget; program assessment; curriculum review; student enrollment and faculty development. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in area of expertise; seek external funding; participate in related service; scholarly and clinical activities, as applicable.

Qualifications:
Terminal degree in Communication Disorders preferred, however M.A./M.S. will be considered. Experience in university teaching is also preferred. CCC in speech-language pathology or audiology and MS License (or eligible) required.

Salary:
Commensurate with experience, qualifications, and universitys resources.

Minimum Qualifications:
M.A./M.S. degree in Communication Disorders and CCC-speech-language pathology or audiology and MS License (or eligible).

Preferred Qualifications:
Terminal degree in Communication Disorders and university teaching experience.

If the position is filled with an Assistant/Associate/Full Professor it will be tenure-track. If filled by an Instructor it will be non-tenure track.
