Responsibilities:
We seek an individual dedicated to excellent teaching and capable of providing quality instruction across the undergraduate physics curriculum. The successful candidate will be committed to creating an educational environment that welcomes and supports students from a variety of backgrounds. We are especially interested in candidates who can mentor undergraduates in independent studies and projects, and who demonstrate an interest in interactive teaching methods. This position teaches a total of six courses per year, consisting of introductory courses, introductory laboratories, and upper division undergraduate courses.

This is a one-year full-time position.

Saint Mary's faculty are expected to maintain an active scholarly agenda and demonstrate intellectual growth and significant achievement appropriate to their field. Faculty also contribute to the mission and serve the College and community in many ways, including academic advising, student and community outreach, participation in departmental and College-wide committees, and the development and assessment of the College's Core Curriculum. Qualifications
A doctorate in physics or a closely related field is required.
