The College of Medicine, Department of Physiology, is looking for a Research Assistant in the laboratory of Dr. Bryan Mackenzie. This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities.

Job Summary : Work in a modern biomedical research lab. Participate in research projects focusing on the molecular physiology of iron transporters, to explore how iron and other metals are transported across biological membranes. Responsibilities will include performing routine experiments, analyzing data, preparing scientific reports, managing animal colonies, database management, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and orderly lab. Research experience desired.

Minimum Qualifications : BS (or BA) degree in biomedical sciences or biology.

NOTE: This position does not qualify for Visa processing.

This position will be a professional position paid at an hourly rate.
