Researcher (Limited Term or Post Doctoral)

Context of the job:

The Center for Applied Demography & Survey Research (CADSR), a research center in the College of Arts and Sciences' School of Public Policy & Administration, is searching for a Researcher. A Master's degree or a Ph.D. degree is required. This is not a teaching position.

The incumbent will work with the Director to support the overall mission and vision of the Center, Department, School and University by identifying, actively pursuing, obtaining research funding, and working on research projects.

Duties will include working with other CADSR researchers on the development or moderately complex proposals, delivering the research services and completing the projects as proposed. In addition to having a central role in managing, collecting, and analyzing complex information and writing materials that contribute to the production of reports and other products. The incumbent may author reports and articles, produce policy research, technical reports, and presentations. The context of the job requires that the incumbent have experience in one or more of the following areas: demography, health or economic development.

CADSR is a project oriented, policy analysis and survey research center that links the expertise and information resources of the University of Delaware with the complex public policy and management needs of governments and nonprofit organizations. The mission of CADSR is to provide public opinion research and statistical analysis in areas such as health and transportation policy, as well as general demographic analysis for state and local governments and the private sector.

The appointment is for one year with renewal possible (annually a maximum of three years), contingent on performance and funding. The position offers full, excellent benefits (including medical, dental and vision). The expected start date is negotiable but anticipated not to be later than July 31, 2018.
