The Department of Romance Languages & Literature at the University of Cincinnati invites applicants for a non-tenure track position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish Linguistics. We are looking for an applied linguist specialized in foreign language pedagogy and curricular research, and with formal training in statistics and measurement. Ongoing research on flipped language classroom, highly desirable. Responsibilities include teaching Spanish at all levels. Teaching, curriculum-development experience and coordination at college level required.

This is a full-time, non-tenure-track, one-year appointment with benefits and the possibility for renewal.

Duties include teaching 2 classes per semester and providing advice in curricular development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in Hispanic Linguistics required. Appointment begins August 15, 2018. Native or near-native fluency in Spanish required. Salary is commensurate with qualifications.
