The University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL), a metropolitan research and teaching institution and pillar of the greater St. Louis community, seeks a Vice Chancellor with the fundraising, relationship-building, strategic vision, and leadership experience to steward the university’s philanthropic efforts to the next level.

Established in 1963 and spread across 470 acres in suburban St. Louis, UMSL (one of four campuses in the University of Missouri System) is the largest public university in eastern Missouri and a key driver in the vibrant workforce of the greater St. Louis region. It is consistently recognized for its strong programs across disciplines, and is considered a primary driver of the St. Louis economy, providing industries with educated and capable employees and leaders. In an effort to enhance the wellbeing of the broad St. Louis area and its surrounding communities, UMSL seeks to launch a record comprehensive campaign to enhance its ability to provide quality programs. 

UMSL is seeking a talented and experienced development executive with a strong record of organizational fundraising and fundraising administration. Reporting to the Chancellor, the Vice Chancellor will have broad authority and responsibility for oversight of all aspects of the University Advancement office, including the four main units of development, alumni engagement, marketing and communications, and the nationally-renowned St. Louis Public Radio Station. 

The Vice Chancellor for University Advancement oversees strategic planning, activities and resource allocation for the four respective units of the division, manages the Chancellor’s Council and serves as UMSL's chief fundraising officer.
