Adjunct Faculty - Pharmacy



Description:

The University of Houston College of Pharmacy invites qualified applicants to apply for a part-time Adjunct Faculty position in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Translational Research. We are seeking outstanding individuals with a desire to train our students and advance our profession. The successful candidate will be involved in teaching in the community pharmacy portion of our PharmD curriculum. The chosen applicant will also have limited responsibilities in our collaborative community-pharmacy residency program.

The Department of Pharmacy Practice and Translational Research is made up of 33 full-time faculty members. The vision of the department is to be a leader in pharmacy and postgraduate education through excellence in translational, clinical and outcomes research. The department has taken a lead to develop a new curriculum for our professional pharmacy program. This will be a key position to help execute our new world-class curriculum. This position will be highly integrated with our new curriculum focused on hands-on, applied learning.

The position is fully funded by the University of Houston College of Pharmacy.

Qualifications :

We are specifically looking for candidates with a passion to teach pharmacy-related skills in small and large group formats.    For this position, we are specifically looking for candidates with experience in community pharmacy and are able to teach community pharmacy-related skills.

 

The candidates should possess a degree in Pharmacy and have expertise in a Texas-based community pharmacy practice. A pplicants must be licensed in Texas.
