Adjunct Faculty - Masters of Occupational Therapy Program

The Occupational Therapy Program at Elmhurst College in the greater Chicago area invites applications to join the pool of part-time (adjunct) faculty for the 2018-2019 academic year. We welcome candidates who teach across the lifespan.

Essential Functions
Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in graduate teaching. Responsibilities for this adjunct faculty position include course preparation, teaching, grading and being available to students who have questions or require extra help.

Other Duties and Responsibilities
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Master's degree or higher in occupational therapy.
2. 3 years clinical experience in occupational therapy
3. A keen interest in engaging students and fostering their learning in the field of occupational therapy.

Preferred Qualifications
1. Available for daytime teaching.
2. Experience in college-level teaching in occupational therapy.
3. Current Illinois Occupational Therapy license ( OTR /L)
4. Doctoral degree in occupational therapy.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Employee is subject to indoor work, protected from weather conditions. Work is sedentary in nature and involves exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently/constantly in order to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move object.

Work Hours
Part-time adjunct position. Ideally available for daytime teaching.
