Degree and area of specialization:
MD, DO or MD/PhD; Must be Board prepared or eligible in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology/Oncology.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Clinical and research interest in medical oncology and malignant hematology; primarily areas of thoracic, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, geriatric oncology, head and neck, bone marrow transplant, and leukemia. Completion of accredited fellowship training program required. Candidates for associate professor (CHS) rank must meet criteria for appointment at rank per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment and promotion on the CHS track.
License or Certificate:
Eligible for Wisconsin medical license
Position Summary:
Primary clinical practice will include inpatient, consult, and ambulatory care at both the William S. Middleton Veterans Administration Hospital (VAH) and UW Hospital and Clinic locations. Responsibilities of the candidate include clinical, research, teaching medical students/ fellows, and potential outreach service activities.
