The College of Medicine, Department of Cancer Biology is looking for a Co-op student. This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities.

Job Summary/Duties:
  • Assist the research on transcriptional and epigenetic regulation of gene expression in breast cancer and development of RNA-based nano-theraputics
  • Assist the daily running of the laboratory that includes but not limited to ordering and organizing laboratory supplies and records, operating dishwasher and autoclave machine, etc.
  • Perform and design experiments involving basic biochemical, molecular and animal studies by following the protocols and instructions.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Enrolled at a post-secondary institution or a secondary school
  • Appointed as a Co-Op Student
  • Enrolled at least part-time (one or more credit hours if at a post-secondary institution), with the exception of summer term, or will be a registered student during the next academic term


"Enrollment" shall include:
  • The period between two successive terms for which the student is enrolled
  • The one "off" term in each academic year in which the student is not enrolled. Student employee status may be maintained for one additional term following graduation or withdraw from enrollment
