The College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience is recruiting for Nurse Practitioner. This Nurse Practitioner will provide outpatient and/or inpatient services in collaboration with a range of professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, other mid-level providers, and social workers. This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities.

Essential Function: Working with a designated supervisor, assist in providing comprehensive, continuous, and personalized care to patients in various areas of behavioral health.

Characteristic Duties:

• Collect comprehensive histories of new patients.
• Conduct basic physical and psychosocial assessments of individuals and/or families. Work with physicians and other providers in delivery of care.
• Manage common episodic and chronic illnesses and administer medication and treatments as prescribed; obtain treatment consents as needed.
• Provide counseling and health training.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Participate in research activities.
• Order supplies as necessary; stock and maintain rooms as required.
• Provide direct supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (e.g., performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off).
• Perform related duties based on departmental need.

Minimum Qualifications: Current/valid RN license to practice in the state of Ohio. A Master's degree in Nursing and graduation from an ANA approved Nurse Practitioner Program. Three (3) years nursing experience.
