Hiring Salary/Salary Range: $52,000-55,000

Duties:
We are seeking to hire a non-tenure-track, Instructor of Forensics to begin work Fall 2018. This position covers all the core courses in the new Forensics Studies and Justice and to offer additional courses needed for completing that program.

The major in Forensic Studies and Justice provides pre-law and law enforcement-minded students with a critical analytical education to help improve the use of forensic science in the criminal justice system. The major teaches about forensic applications in criminal justice, cognitive biases, structured analytical techniques, and case study analysis within a systems thinking paradigm to provide a solid background to reduce errors in and improve the criminal justice process.

Minimum Qualifications:
Completed and earned doctoral degree in Forensic Studies, Criminal Justice, Criminology or other fields aligned with Forensic Science from an accredited institution by August 1, 2018 with achievement in teaching.  Must meet University criteria for appointment to the rank of Instructor.

Preferred Qualifications:
Undergraduate teaching experience in Criminal Investigation, Crime Scene Sciences, and/or Ethics in Criminal Justice System. Prior work experience in forensic or criminal investigations.
