The person filling this position will assist with various curatorial and collections projects and exhibition planning, publication preparation, artwork research and cataloging, and database clean-up related to an Andrew W. Mellon Foundation grant dedicated to access and inclusion in the museum collections and galleries. We are particularly
interested in candidates from under-represented backgrounds who can add to the diversity and excellence of our academic
community.
Responsibilities will include:
•artist and artwork research and cataloging
•data entry and data clean-up in the museum's collections
management system, EmbARK
•image rights research for publication in print and online
•proofreading of publication texts and database records
•various administrative tasks related to upcoming exhibitions and/or publications
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates should have proven abilities in organization, attention to detail, and art historical research. Previous museum database or proofreading experience preferred.
