General Function:
This position performs complex administrative clerical functions and assists the Dean in coordinating and managing the programs within the Nursing and Allied Health department.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent. Three or more years' successful experience in an increasingly responsible secretarial, accounting, or clerical position.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Greets visitors, provides proper information or assists visitors to proper office.
• Answers telephone giving information to callers or routes calls to appropriate office.
• Assists instructors, students, and Academic Dean.
• Develops and maintains personnel, financial, statistical, and other important records.
• Composes routine and non-routine correspondence independently.
• Makes arrangements and preparation for travel, conferences, appointments, special events or other business activities.
• Prepares necessary forms and operational records for budgets, grants, purchases, personnel actions, contracts, load forms, etc.
• Determines type of data, forms, records, or methods to be used and collects or compiles information or data.
• Prepares and maintains minutes for faculty meetings as needed.
• Monitors and distributes incoming mail.
• Analyzes and interprets directives, procedures, guidelines, etc.
• Coordinates collection and preparation of operating reports, budget expenditures, and statistical records.
• Maintains office filing system and office supplies inventory.
• Maintains textbook orders for faculty at all campus locations
• Enters and monitors schedule for all campus locations.
• Assists in the orientation of adjunct faculty including fall orientation, ordering textbooks, and providing supplementary resources and guidelines.
• Orders supplies needed for classroom instruction.
• Is responsible for entering faculty load and compensation.
• Additional duties not otherwise stated but necessary to maintain the department's functions as assigned by the Dean.
