Senior Auditor

Internal Audit at the University at Buffalo seeks candidates for Senior Auditor responsible for reviewing and testing the adequacy and effectiveness of established management controls for varying functions within the University to determine that activities are in compliance with University policies, procedures and/or management instructions, and in a manner consistent with the University's objectives. The Senior Auditor will assemble and present the draft audit report, requiring strong written communication skills, the ability to develop feasible recommendations, and appreciation for assessing risk. Direct or lead other staff in a manner which ensures both the successful completion of the audit plan, and the on-going professional development of the individuals involved.

 

In addition the Senior Auditor, in consultation with the Director and Assistant Director, will prepare professionally sound audit plans providing direction for the efficient and effective conduct of audits. Proficiency in audit standards, policies and procedures as well as applying IIA standards throughout the audit process are essential.
