Position Description:

University of Northern Iowa's Department of Theatre seeks applications for an Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will teach nine credit hours per semester, including introductory and advanced coursework in Acting involving multiple methodologies; Playscript Analysis; and general theatre coursework. Additional possible courses include Musical Theatre and Acting for the Camera. Duties include directing one mainstage production annually and meeting the service obligations required of all faculty.

Education Requirements:

MFA degree in Acting required.

Required Qualifications:

Professional performance or directing experience also required.

Desirable Qualifications:

Preference will be given to applicants with the ability to choreograph and / or those who hold a Ph.D. in Theatre.
