POSITION SUMMARY:
The Departments of Marketing and Information Systems and Decision Sciences at the Muma College of Business, University of South Florida, Tampa, invite applications for a joint full-time Instructor. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in management science, marketing, or another related business discipline from an accredited University or a Ph.D. in a related field from a university accredited in that field. Significant professional work experience in a global business environment is also required.

The successful candidate will teach business and technology strategy courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the marketing department and the information systems/decision sciences (ISDS) department. The course load is 12 hours each for fall and spring semesters. In addition, the position requires the willingness and ability to maintain certification as a Scholarly Academic under AACSB guidelines. This is a full-time, 9-month position. Compensation for summer courses is in addition to the base salary.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teaching, research, and college, university, community service.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A PhD in Business or a related discipline from an accredited institution or a PhD in other related disciplines.
  • Significant professional work experience in a global business environment.
  • Evidence of ability or potential to achieve and maintain AACSB credentials for a Scholarly Academic.
  • Evidence of superior teaching ability.
  • Expectation that the candidate will contribute to the Muma College of Business’ analytics and creativity focus.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Evidence of ability to teach business and technology strategy courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
  • Evidence of ability to make service contributions to the university and the profession.
  • Expectation that the candidate will be collegial.
  • Reputation of program granting the candidate’s degree.
  • Reputation of program(s) and organizations where candidate was previously employed.
