Pediatric Gastroenterologist

The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics, Section of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition is seeking a Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join a vibrant, cohesive team of 7 faculty members, 1 APN, 4 RNs and 2 RDs.

All applicants must have and M.D. or equivalent and be board certified or board eligible by the start date. The ideal candidate will have procedural skills and broad expertise in gastroenterology. A specific focus on IBD and nutrition is also sought.

Special interests of the Section include a well-established, internationally renowned Celiac Disease Center; the pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease Program; a pediatric liver transplant program; and a fully staffed pediatric Nutrition Support Service. The Section has clinical and research collaborations with Adult Gastroenterology, the Adult Digestive Diseases Research Core Center, Pediatric Surgery, and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. An ACGME-accredited Fellowship Program is also active within the Section.

Our Comer Children's Hospital is a 155-bed acute care facility, uniting advanced technology with a family-centered, child-friendly philosophy to provide state-of-the-art care in a six-floor, 242,000-square-feet building.
