| Duties and Responsibilities | APPLICATION DEADLINE : This search is open until filled. First consideration will be given to applications received by January 22, 2018. Second consideration may be given to applications received by February 28, 2018. Applications received subsequent to second consideration date (February 28, 2018) may not be given full consideration. _________________________________________ BASIC FUNCTION : Under general supervision, perform research including data analysis and assist with experiments including preparation and cleanup. Research may involve animal care and handling. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Under general supervision, assist in performing research work or tests on animals and tissues. Assist in the analysis of tissue samples and electrophysiological data. Perform research work, including immunohistochemistry under occasional review. Handle and maintain technical instruments required for performance of experiments. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Perform other duties as required. LICENSES , TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT : Personal computers, printers; word processing, database and spreadsheet software; relevant laboratory instruments. |
| Required Qualifications | REQUIRED : 1. Bachelor's degree in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) field with a minimum of two years of experience in life science research. 2. Demonstrated strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills. 3. Demonstrated proficiency in written communication skills. 4. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups/populations.
