The faculty of the Women's Studies Program at California State University Dominguez Hills invites applications from individuals for an Associate or Professor in the Women's Studies Program at California State University, Dominguez Hills.

Responsibilities
The responsibilities include: teach courses in Women's Studies, develop the program's curriculum, develop a B.A. degree and fulfill all the duties of program coordinator.

The Women's Studies Program at California State University Dominguez Hills
is a long standing but small, program that seeks to develop a B.A. degree in the next two years. Currently the program offers a minor in Women's Studies. The minor explores the experiences of women in cultures around the world, the history and structures of gender inequalities and how to advocate for women's rights and freedoms. It is interdisciplinary and examines the social construction of gender andsexual differences with an emphasis on women's experiences.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Experience in teaching undergraduates from diverse age, socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds.
A PhD in hand at the time of application. The degree must be in Women's and Gender Studies or in a related field. Two years of minimum teaching experience and a demonstrated record of service is required. The candidate must show expertise in at least one of the following areas of specialization: women's studies, feminist theory & methodology, feminist body politics, ethnic studies with an emphasis on gender, black feminisms, Chicano(a) feminisms, Latin American studies with an emphasis on gender, humanities with an emphasis on gender, critical race theory and transnational and global feminisms.

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include: A Ph.D. in Women's and Gender Studies or in a related field, preferably in the Arts and Humanities. Administrative experience as program director, coordinator and/or department chair; curriculum development and assessment experience, and a record of feminist leadership. The successful candidate will show expertise in at least one of the following areas of specialization: women's studies, feminist theory & methodology, feminist body politics, ethnic studies with an emphasis on gender, black feminisms, Chicano(a) feminisms, Latin American studies with an emphasis on gender, humanities with an emphasis on gender, critical race theory and transnational and global feminisms. Finally, the candidate must also show competence, through research, service and/or teaching in at least one of the following areas: American Studies with an emphasis on gender, queer studies, women and the professions, women and the economy, women and disability, immigration and borderland studies, and women and war.
