About the College/Department
The University of Arkansas (U of A) and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences ( UAMS ) have partnered to develop this clinical OTD . The program will prepare graduates:

Summary of Job Duties
The Academic Fieldwork Coordinator ( AFC ) will work with the program director to cultivate fieldwork and internship sites for this developing OTD program and is responsible for providing OTD students with quality fieldwork and internship opportunities. The AFC is responsible for organizing, managing, supervising, and evaluating fieldwork components and ensuring the program's compliance with ACOTE requirements. The AFC will collaborate with fieldwork educators to ensure that fieldwork experiences meet the Program's objectives.
This is a faculty position with some teaching, scholarship activities, advisement, and service responsibilities in addition to the administration of clinical components. This position requires significant contact with students, outside constituents, professional consortium, and clinical education faculty.
Students will not be admitted into this program until 2019-2020 academic year so this is a rare opportunity for a forward thinking individual to have dedicated time to collaborate with a core group of incoming faculty to create an OTD program grounded in occupation and innovation, to build a scholarship agenda, and engage in faculty practice.
Travel is an expectation and requirement of this position. Site visits to clinical and doctoral residency locations is often required to assess the suitability of the site and to monitor student's performance.

- Doctoral degree from an accredited institution (must be conferred by January 2019)
- Licensed/eligible for Arkansas OT licensure
- At least three years of clinical experience
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team setting
- Promotes professionalism by modeling such behaviors inside and outside the classroom settings
Preferred Qualifications
- At least five years of clinical experience
- At least one year experience as an Academic Fieldwork Coordinator ( AFC ) in an OT or OTA program
- Work experience and familiarity with Northwest Arkansas
- Previous experience as a full-time faculty with teaching responsibilities
