To help support the work of the University we have an immediate opening for an Assistant/Associate Vice President of Finance and Administration/Controller. The Assistant/Associate Vice President of Finance and Administration/Controller reports to the Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration.

This position works closely with the Senior Vice President on financial planning, development and management of the University’s annual budget, endowment management, and the management of all University business functions including the business office and student accounts. The position assists the Senior VP in all administrative functions and is the number two position within the finance and administration division and acts on behalf of the Senior VP as directed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Management of Business Office, Accounting, Payroll, Student Accounts, Copy Center, Book Store, and Post Office. 
  • Preparation of monthly/quarterly financial statements for internal reporting.  
  • Preparation and maintenance of University annual institutional operating and payroll budget and the University’s five-year financial model.
  • Preparation of maintenance of monthly and yearly cash flow projections.
  • Oversee grant accounting and administration functions for the University.
  • Review and ensure the integrity of all internal controls through internal audits.
  • Comply with all external debt requirements and monitor for required financial compliance.

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree at a minimum, CPA or MBA degree preferred.  7-10 or more years of experience in finance and accounting, 3-5 or more years of supervisory experience. Non Profit Accounting Experience (particularly higher education) is highly preferable.
