MERCY COLLEGE

School of Social and Behavioral Sciences Faculty Positions

Fall 2017

 

The School of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Mercy College is seeking candidates for five full-time faculty positions.  We welcome applications from candidates with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment. Candidates should have a strong record of teaching effectiveness, scholarly productivity and a commitment to service. Criminal Justice.  We are seeking candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position, who hold a PhD in Criminal Justice, Criminology or a closely related field (applicants with a JD only will not be considered).  Candidates with a specialization in Juvenile Justice or in Victimology are particularly encouraged to apply. 

 

Health Service Management. We are seeking candidates for a tenure-track Associate Professor to serve as the Program Head for our graduate Health Service Management program. Applicants should have a PhD in Health Care Administration, Health Policy, Health Services, or another closely related area.  Prior administrative experience is preferred.

 

Behavioral Science.  We are seeking candidates for three Assistant Professor positions, holding PhDs in Sociology, Behavioral Science, or a closely related discipline. Candidates with the following specializations are particularly encouraged to apply:

• Demography or life-course analysis (tenure-track)

• Health or Healthcare (tenure-track)

• Adult Education, or substantial teaching experience with non-traditional age students (multi-year contract)
