Provost/VP for Academic and Learner Services

The Provost reports directly to the President and serves as the Chief Academic and Learner Services Officer for the College.  The successful candidate leads LCCC’s Vision 2020 Priority 1 to Drive Student Completion for Academic and Career Success.  Additionally, the Provost has responsibility for the University Partnership, K-12 partnerships, Early College High School, as well as all academic and student support divisions.  The Provost/VP leads teaching and learning; academic planning; the curricula and assessment of the institution; the development and implementation of academic policy; professional development for faculty; and student support services.  Additionally, the Provost/VP serves as a key member of the Administrative Leadership Team and collaborates with the Vice President for Strategic and Institutional Development and the Vice President for Administrative Services on all of LCCC’s strategic priorities.

Qualifications:  Minimum qualifications include: a doctorate from a regionally accredited institution; demonstrated commitment to the unique mission of community colleges; experience in higher education leadership; experience with higher education funding and performance-based funding; knowledge of emerging issues and trends in higher education;  excellent communication skills; knowledge of curriculum trends that advance student success; effectively manage multiple priorities; ability to build and foster an environment of inclusion, openness and trust, continuous improvement, strategic planning and innovation; and a demonstrated commitment to shared governance and collaborative, consultative and transparent decision making.
