BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING

The Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) at Vanderbilt University invites applications from candidates to join our productive, diverse, and interdisciplinary tenure-track faculty broadly in the research areas of biomaterials, drug delivery, synthetic biology, regenerative engineering, or gene therapy and editing. CIVIL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Vanderbilt University invites applications from candidates to fill an open-rank faculty position commencing Fall 2018. The successful candidate(s) in this search will have research expertise in water resources pertaining to civil and environmental engineering, including field experimentation and data collection, distributed sensor networks, and quantitative analyses and modeling. The Vanderbilt CS program provides a unique, collaborative, and interdisciplinary research environment. We seek world-class expertise in broadly defined areas of data science, machine learning, data mining, visualization, computer vision, and/or artificial intelligence. Primary responsibilities are to teach three core computer science courses ranging from introductory to upper-division per semester. Ideal qualifications include a Ph.D. degree in computer science or related discipline and prior experience teaching computer science. This is a term appointment, eligible for renewal, contingent on performance. The Department of Mechanical Engineering (ME) at Vanderbilt University invites applications from candidates for a tenure/tenure-track faculty position to begin in Fall 2018. The department is particularly interested in candidates with research experience and interests in medical and rehabilitation robotics. The department encourages interdisciplinary research, and the faculty is affiliated with 8 cross-campus research centers. The School of Engineering is immediately adjacent to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, which greatly facilitates collaboration between the schools of engineering and medicine.
