Adjunct Faculty - Division of Mass Communication



Description:

The Division of Mass Communication at St. John's University seeks to establish a pool of quali ed applicants for part time appointments as instructors in Communication Arts courses that include Introduction to Mass Communication, Transmedia Storytelling, Introduction to Broadcasting, Sports Broadcasting, Media Graphics, and Business Communication. Part time instructors teach one to ve sections per year, as needed by the department, and are expected to hold o ce hours and assist students.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate a combination of scholarly and industry experience; applicants with expertise in visual communication, sound and radio, and business communication are particularly encouraged to submit.

Qualifications:
  • Preferred: Terminal degree (PhD or MFA) in related eld.
  • Accepted: Master's degree combined with extensive industry experience and/or other accomplishments in the field.
