MIDDLEBURY COLLEGE, MIDDLEBURY, VT 05753 The Department of Religion at Middlebury College announces a tenure-track position in Social Scientific Study of Religion. The candidate should have a solid grounding in religious studies and specialize in some area of the social scientific study of religion, broadly construed; specialists in American religion are especially welcome. Areas of research could include religion, race and ethnicity; religious diversity; religion and globalization; religion and social movements; and religion, nationalism, and secularism. The candidate will teach a range of classes, from introductory to upper-level, drawing on their area of specialization and research methodology.
